Escalating attacks in Iraq and Syria by the terrorist group ISIS have forced the U.S. military to mobilize hundreds of thousands of support personnel.

In this week’s “War Stories with Oliver North” Navy SEAL sniper Cmdr. Jennifer Lindsey shares her surprising perspective on the brutal conflict. She talks about how a general at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state offers heroic advice on the battlefield.

When the Syrian city of Manbij was threatened with a full-scale assault by Turkish forces and associated Kurdish militia forces, U.S. troops rose up against the advancing Turkish troops and Kurdish militia while all the while receiving intelligence from their Kurdish allies. Lindsey describes how a young, dynamic top military officer, former Navy SEAL Cmdr. Bret Kalscheur, dedicated his life to protecting the Kurds.

Now, as direct confrontation looms in Syria, an exiled Peshmerga fighter is now taking on the Turkish army from his home in northern Iraq, demonstrating on War Stories the sacrifice a U.S. soldier makes.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Carlos Quintanilla, News Anchor for the Fox Business Network and host of “Unconventional Wisdom,” talk about Trump’s plan to renegotiate trade deals with Canada and Mexico to come to terms on a “new NAFTA.” He also discusses the potential in-field friction between U.S. and foreign service officers in Trump’s foreign policy making.

Plus, a report from the FOX News Poll finds 62 percent of Americans are alarmed by the possibility of a shutdown.
